Background Information

Some of you may be familiar with School Pop from other schools. School Pop merged with "One Cause." One Cause lets you earn money for the NSPA by shopping at your favorite merchants, at no extra cost to you. One Cause has over 500 participating merchants.  Every time you make a purchase using Once Cause, a percentage of your purchase (which varies by merchant) goes to the NSPA. It does not cost any money to join.  Between Jan. 2009 and Dec. 2010, the NSPA received over $650 from OneCause, thanks to 42 participants. 

It's a great way to get free money for NSPA, especially since they have an amazing list of participating merchants, such as Office Depot, Staples, the Apple Store, Amazon, and Target, to give just a few examples.  Travel sites such as Expedia, Travelocity, and many major airlines also participate.  Your order is placed directly with the merchant.

Sign-Up Information

To register, just follow these steps:

1. Go to www.onecause.com. Click JOIN (you can also click on this to know more on HOW IT WORKS)

2. Enter the organization name [New School Parent Association] and state that you wish to register for [or enter org id# 200829] and click search

3. Enter your contact information, required fields are marked with an asterisk. Choose a password that is at least 6 characters long (letters and numbers only).

4. Review the summary of information and if everything is correct click Submit.

 Usage Information

To receive credit, you go to www.onecause.com and log in, then click from their site to the merchant you wish to purchase from.  You must click through from the onecause.com site in order for your purchases to be credited.  The one optional exception is if you download and install the One Cause toolbar for your browser.  If you do, your purchases are automatically credited without logging into the One Cause site.  This is entirely optional.
